Three of the OptAir G2 Series on the ramp at RDU

OptAir manages an SR22 fleet

The Cirrus SR22-G2 series aircraft are arguably the best value at this time, and probably will be for many more years.  Our typical owner is interested in having the best light aircraft available today, but typically not interested in huge amounts of depreciation.  G2 series SR22 aircraft were built between 2004 and 2007, which is pretty recent in light-aircraft terms, but they’ve fully depreciated and are now appreciating in value.  They still look and fly essentially like-new; their avionics are easier to learn and use than later models; and their useful load is better than later models (yes, the G5 series gets back to the same sort of useful load, but at the expense of a 200 lb heavier airframe behind the same engine for lower performance).

All OptAir G2 series aircraft have been updated with the Avidyne DFC90 autopilot and dual WAAS GNS430W’s, along with the latest in Avidyne Entegra PFD/MFD versions.

While most OptAir SR22 aircraft are normally aspirated G2 series, we have later models in the fleet also and are constantly evaluating the need and potential utility of other aircraft for the fleet.

Much more in the way of specifics regarding the aircraft are included in the submenu pages.
